Review Schwinn 7-Speed Loop Folding Bike
Posted on 26 April 2010
What a fun little bike this is! Schwinn Loop folds well; they were very creative about the placement of everything when folded. It’s very sturdy. My range on it is about ten miles round trip. That is about as far as I am willing to go. The seat is adjustable and it goes up hills easily. Brakes (once adjusted) work extremely well. It rides very smoothly; the gear shifter is working perfect. Very maneuverable. The seat it comes with is of extremely good quality as well as the handlebars. It comes with a carrying bag.
It folds and unfolds quickly with a little practice and it look very attractive. The fit and finish are perfect. The box came a bit damaged from shipping but the bicycle itself was padded and secured in all the good places and emerged pristine and required only minor tuning and some more air in the tires. The bicycle was taken out and set up in about 15 minutes. I’d recommend this little wonder to anyone.
If you get a small budget this is the bicycle to get. Might need some adjustment at the bike shop, but the bike is just too much fun to ride. This is a super little bicycle. I ride it to the gym around five times a week. Not far, but it does the job. I think the cost is fair given what it offers. 7 speeds are just ideal. Simple to fold and I really like the shape construction. It does not ride like a toy, very robust and fits perfectly in my trunk.
Easy to get on and off. People are always asking me about it. I think Schwinn should be proud of this. Weighs is about 28 lbs. Did need some gear adjustments when it arrived. I find the 20″ wheels easier to balance on than other folding bikes with smaller wheels. Schwinn Loop, is light weight and easy to lift in and out of the car. I did put a wider more comfortable saddle on it but that is the only change I have needed to make. It’s a great traveler. Nice!
The finish and construction is excellent, and it is a great value for the money. The locks on the chassis and handlebars are sturdy, and the bike rides very well for the size. The only possible drawback is that the height of the handlebars is not easily adjustable, but it works for me. It is perfect for city shopping and upstairs apartment living. I would buy Schwinn Loop bike again.
