Everybody know that bad posture has been on this earth since the beginning of time. Heck look at pictures of Julius Cesar, he’s always slouched over. With the advancement of Science and Medicine, bad posture can be combated all kinds of things, one being exercise.
First and foremost, staying relaxed and not being stiff will help with your posture. If you are constantly thinking about your alignment then you will be more likely to stay stiff in return not helping your posture out at all.
Probably the second thing is building solid core. That is where exercise and weight training come in. The vital muscle for posture is the trapezius. By developing this muscle your on your way to good posture. There are several exercise that you can do to strengthen this muscle.
The abdomen is also essential to a strong core. AS much as we hate doing crunches, they will help with your goal of correcting your bad posture. Be sure to limit your crunches so you avoid injuring your back. Having a progressive approach to crunches will help.
Finally the shoulders are a important part of bad posture. Weak shoulders equal bad posture. So, let’s make sure to include an exercises into out routine that will focus solely on the shoulders. One that I like to do is lateral raise. Take a dumbbell (start off light) and slowly raise your arms outward to the level of your shoulders.
These are some of the exercises that I like to use while at the gym. Not only will you correct that posture, but you will stay fit also. Stretching is also a very popular way to correct spine alignment.
To be sure you don’t only complicate the problem, seek your doctors advise before partaking in any exercises or weight training routine. Don’t want to make a bad problem turn into a huge one.
Posture product may also be an option to correcting posture. I have read some really positive reviews on some of the devices on the market today. The key thing is to find something that works for you. Correcting posture is what you want to do and exercising works for me and hey if you can lose some weight in the process than all the better.
